Understanding an organisation requires understanding of a company’s vision. Booi Holdings (Pty) Ltd believes in every opportunity for all our generations and aims for continuous improvement and innovation to consistently deliver world class quality products and supporting services, that not only meet customer needs, but also exceed customer expectation.
The Booi family took a leap of faith by venturing into the unconventional industry of oil and gas, even though certain business ventures might be considered either too risky or a complete waste of money. Their unwavering determination and quest for knowledge are finally paying off, as they, Booi Brothers Petroleum (Pty) Ltd (BBP), are currently drilling the first oil well in their community of Vhurivhuri, and one of the first wells to be dug in South Africa.
BBP is a family-owned and operated South African firm, which currently holds the license for ER262, located in the Magisterial Districts of Mutale and Malamulele in the Thulamela and Malamulele Municipality region of Limpopo Province. They have committed to fully finance the project on
its own, including the exploration, without assistance from Government or any Private Enterprises.
As a family they are so committed to this project that they sold some of their personal items and used the proceeds from other ventures to finance it. The CEO of Booi Holdings, Peter Booi, describes how funding for the project has been secured from the beginning.

BBP believes that their efforts are broader than themselves and can benefit the local economy, the region, South Africa, and Africa in general. South Africa now has the highest and most concerning unemployment rate among the 82 countries surveyed by Bloomberg. What makes it exciting is that BBP is owned by a South African family, committed to reducing unemployment.
